Hand of God Vineyards
Jon Staenberg and Santiago Achaval, one of Argentina’s leading winemakers, have teamed up to bring you
Hand of God
(
Mano de Dios
in Spanish), a boutique winery in the Mendoza region of Argentina. We are located in the Uco Valley, forty minutes from the central square of Mendoza, sitting at the edge of the majestic Andes Mountains. This valley is home to some of the world's greatest Malbecs and is gaining a reputation as one of the finest wine regions in the world.
"Mano de Dios" was a unique moment in Argentine culture with their controversial 1986 World Cup win. We have a passion for wine and wish to bring you premium vintages as celebrated as the World Cup win and as equally Argentine. Our grapes enjoy Mendoza’s ideal growing conditions, desert climate, rocky soil, and pure Andes mountain irrigation water. We believe that the hand of God has also touched the Mendoza land creating a unique terroir able to mature grapes that can be transformed into complex, deep, and structured wines.
We are currently in production to bring you our first vintage of
Hand of God
wines and, as followers of Santiago Achaval will know,
Achaval-Ferrer
has sold out of their limited production vintages.
Hand of God
will be the only other Santiago Achaval wines available on the market. We are eagerly awaiting our first release and will continue to update this page with news of our progress. Please check back often and
email
us with any questions
